Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make These Simple, Quick, Easy Pancakes

The secret is in the batter.

  • Combine dry ingredients – flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large-sized bowl. 
  • Make a space in the middle of dry ingredients and slowly add wet ingredients – the milk, slightly cooled melted butter, vanilla and egg.
  • Whisk the wet ingredients together then slowly whisk out into the dry ingredients. Mix together until smooth. Batter will be thick and creamy in consistency. *If batter is too thick add extra milk into the batter a teaspoon at a time.
  • Rest the batter for a few minutes.
  • Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and add some butter to lightly grease pan.
  • Pour ¼ cup of batter into the pan. Spread into a round shape.
  • Once bubbles begin to appear it’s time to flip. Cook until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
