2tbspfreshly chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°. Grease a baking sheet.
Remove stems from mushrooms and roughly chop stems. Place mushroom caps on baking sheet.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add beef/turkey and brown. About 10 mins
Add onions, chopped mushrooms stems and cook until most of the moisture is out, 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl mix together cheese, cream cheese and bacon.
Add beef/turkey mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix.
Fill mushroom caps with filling and sprinkle with more cheese on top
Bake until mushrooms are soft and cheese is golden. About 25-30 minutes.
Garnish with parsley to serve.
Notes
Optional: Breadcrumbs ( Add breadcrumbs to the cooked beef/turkey and let toast slightly, 3 minutes. )
