Method
- In a small sauce pot, bring the sugar and water to a boil and stir until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Remove from heat. ( If infusing add the ingredient you want to infuse ) to the sugar mixture, and place a lid on the sauce pot. Steep for 10 minutes.
- Remove lid, strain to remove the infused ingredient and store in a lidded container in the refrigerator for up to ten days.
- Chill before using in cocktail
Notes
For a thicker, heavier syrup, adjust the proportions to 2:1 sugar-to-water ratio.
