CREAMY MASHED POTATOES

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1.5 pounds potatoes Yukon Gold
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter unsalted
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • salt to taste
  • parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cut potatoes into quarters.
  • Add water to a large pot and bring to a boil. Place potatoes in pot and add salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until tender (about 20 minutes).
  • Drain cooked potatoes. Add butter, milk and sour cream. Mash until smooth
  • Add a piece of butter to the top
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in microwave. Pour over mashed potatoes
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Optional Add-Ins:
Add in parmesan cheese. 
Add in crushed bacon.
Add in green onions.
Add in crushed garlic.
