Method
- Cut potatoes into quarters.
- Add water to a large pot and bring to a boil. Place potatoes in pot and add salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until tender (about 20 minutes).
- Drain cooked potatoes. Add butter, milk and sour cream. Mash until smooth
- Add a piece of butter to the top
- Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in microwave. Pour over mashed potatoes
- Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
Optional Add-Ins:
Add in parmesan cheese.
Add in crushed bacon.
Add in green onions.
Add in crushed garlic.
